It's Always Better the Second Time Around! Please Help Me Welcome Back, Jason Zandri!

Please join me in welcoming the very talented Jason Zandri to my site. On this stop, he talks about his tour as well as his book, I Hero, Nathan Returns:

Three weeks on a blog tour for four books.

The outline for my next planned seven books over the next two years.

One upcoming adventure for Nathan and three more planned in the “I, Hero” series.

Four more major life events for Matthew and his friends in the “As Life Goes” series. (Watch for the secondary character surprise, I won’t give you another hint).

About a dozen book excerpts, some previously released, with two of them from “I, Hero: Nathan Returns” debuting exclusively on the tour. Nearly eighteen “Q&A” questions (and the responses).

Twenty one blog posts, one for each day, over that three week period.

Twenty one gracious hosts – thank you all for the space on your blogs and sharing me with your followers and guests.

Dozens of visitors checking in and leaving comments.

Hundreds of Tweets, Reblogs, Word-presses, and Facebook likes and shares.

And of course – five prizes to give away. )I will close the contest and draw those on August 20th.)

Marketing, in an effort to expand your audience, can be everything from tedious to heartbreaking, were one to look at the labor end of the effort against the immediate return, which there is very little of. It’s not like my books suddenly shot up to #1 in any of their categories. It’s not why I did it. I mean, I wouldn’t turn down sudden notoriety versus remaining mostly obscure, but I am not betting my paycheck that Oprah's Books Club is going to showcase my book or that Ellen is going to be holding “Another Sunset” up on her talk show. Having said that, if they should suddenly decide to do so, I would be inclined to consider washing their car for the rest of my natural life (in case that’s a selling point to encourage them).

No, honestly, I did this, in part to expand my audience for my writing, but also to challenge myself.

Babe Ruth hit 714 homeruns; he struck out 1,330 times in doing so, over 8,399 times "at bat". If you must take a strike, do it swinging

Twenty one blog posts. Do you know how difficult it is to come up with twenty one blog posts, one for each day, in relative short order? I do now. Thank goodness I have multiple personalities and talk to myself. Were it not for the voices in my head, I wouldn’t have been able to come up with half the material I needed.

It’s been an adventure. Thank you for spending some of your precious time reading the posts and learning more about me as a person and about my stories.

Realizing all of your dreams is not how you find your sense of completion. Everything you can possibly gain or attain will eventually turn to dust. What you have in your heart, what you pass onto others, while you are here and after you are gone, matters more than anything else. #Zandriism

About I, Hero: Nathan Returns

Nathan is back in New York City; the place where it all started, nearly one year later. While he has been away, he has been establishing a base of operations and trying to follow the direction his life has taken – making a difference and answering the call for help where and when he is needed.

He has returned to this birthplace of his powers with more questions of why he is on the path he is on and what is expected of him.

During a dangerous rescue, his powers dissipate, and leave him critically vulnerable.

He connects back with old friends who help him rediscover the man he used to be to in order to help him be the man he has become and the man who he must be.

Magical forces come into play, pulling on nature itself, which introduces an unexpected challenge to Nathan while he is at this perilous juncture.

The pendulum swings even farther out of alignment; it is up to Nathan to respond before forces are set into motion that cannot be countered.
